Artificial pitches are low maintenance, not no maintenance. A little regular care keeps the surface playing well and protects your guarantee, which on many surfaces depends on the pitch being regularly maintained.
Weekly care
- Clear leaves, litter and debris before they break down into the surface.
- Brush the pile so it stays upright and even, paying extra attention to high-traffic areas such as goalmouths.
- Check for anything unusual, such as lifting seams or standing water, and report it early.
Professional maintenance
Periodic professional maintenance goes deeper than a weekly brush. It typically includes decompacting and redistributing infill where used, deep cleaning, treating moss and weeds around the edges and checking joins and line markings. Many of the pitches we installed years ago still look great because they have been on a regular maintenance programme.
Simple house rules
- Suitable footwear only.
- No chewing gum, food or fizzy drinks on the surface.
- Keep vehicles and heavy equipment off unless the surface is protected.
Why it matters
A well-maintained pitch plays better, looks better and lasts longer. Ongoing maintenance is the simplest way to protect what is usually a significant investment.
